Us yankees don't kill and eat the southerners. We kill, package and then ship them south for you rebels to eat. LOL. You'll be fine. You'll think they talk funny, but that's about it, I can still translate.

BamaKyttn 10-29-2008 10:37 PM

as long as i dont hafta go up there when its cold!

IowaMan 10-30-2008 12:26 AM

I'm 50-75% for Michigan and unfortunately a no go for the others.

gekkogecko 10-30-2008 09:38 AM

OK, I figure if this is going to happen anywhere near my area, it's going to be because I make it happen.

So, yeah, I'm in. I'll start looking around for hotels & stuff: those of you I sent PMs to, please contact me at the e-mail addy I gave.

Plenty of places around here that would be suitable.

PantyFanatic 10-30-2008 10:36 AM

Yep, yep GG. Time to stir the fire of this thread if we are going to get close to setting dates and location this month.

We know ScareCrow ran a recon mission to the Michigan area. I've been looking for his report. Would more of our Canadian Pixies have interest if it were in a northern boarder state?

Lilith 10-30-2008 04:29 PM

There is nothing to say that you can not have more than one event in more than one locale.

Hey that was just a vacation. I'm not hosting so I thought I'd let others throw there hat in the ring. But I could hang on the beach

Booger 10-31-2008 12:17 AM

For those interested in PIMP (Pixies In Michigan Playing) when would it work out better to have it for you late June, July or early August?

Rhode Island would be a no-brainer for me. The other two are somewhat off my beaten path.

Any of those times would likely be okay with us. ;)

You are 100% right on with that, my queen.

Actually I expected to see some of our western Pixies have a gathering after the fantastic experiences our first couple events proved to be. Distance is a real-world factor for all of us and the present uncertain times make it more so. Personally, I will continue to plan for the important things for me but know there are new considerations that could have more than normal impact to change them.

That said, I will continue to stash a regular few $$ into my Pixie bank for this coming year and I look forward to attending one of the location picked. Preference and practicality for me is late June but I am fortunate to have a flexible schedule.

Michigan- 90%
Baltimore- 65%
Rhode Island- 90%.

Scarecrow 10-31-2008 11:44 AM

I'm with DB on the times, when is the best time to take a swim at the beach :roflmao:

lizzardbits 11-21-2008 12:24 PM

bumping this... where and when? anything concrete yet?

Booger 11-21-2008 12:46 PM

I'm working on PIMP 09 I'm thinking either the weekend of 7/16 - 7/20 or the next week end 724 -7-28 in Holland, MI. I haven't got everything worked out with the hotel yet. I will keep everyone posted on the dates and hotels was I get things worked out.

Oldfart 11-21-2008 07:32 PM

Mrs OF says that we may (only may) be over for the second weekend, coincidentally just before Oshkosh across the lake. What the Oz dollar does between now and then will be a huge determinant.

Scarecrow 11-21-2008 08:09 PM

I'm with Mrs OF.

Lilith 11-21-2008 08:13 PM

You wish ;)

Scarecrow 11-21-2008 08:27 PM

Well Boogers trying to PIMP '09

Navarre 11-21-2008 08:30 PM

Maryland - 90%
RI - 60%
Michigan 40%

PantyFanatic 11-22-2008 02:48 AM

WELL! I'm glad to see something (anything) happening with this thread. :faint: So are we saying the event is tentatively for July 24-28 2009, in Holland Michigan? If so, I'm in for now. Maybe we'll have it set before Thanksgiving.

dicksbro 11-22-2008 05:25 AM

July 24-28th sounds good to me and the chance of seeing OF and his bride is sure a plus.

One question, though, ...

does this mean we'd have to find another "Outback" restaurant?

:D

Oldfart 11-22-2008 05:50 AM

Nah, I'd rather have something edible.

lizzardbits 11-22-2008 02:28 PM

Alrighty then, when I start my new job back in the States, I'll be sure to ask for end of July off as seeing my other family is muy muy mucho importante!!!

I *think* I know the way to Michigan, lol!!!

lizzardbits 11-28-2008 05:42 AM

just thinking--Any good campgrounds near by for PIMP 09? Camping may make it more affordable for those of us who like it rugged, ;) :D

I'll let Boog and Soda be specific, but with Michigan being a big tourist state ... I've absolutely no doubt camping is available nearby. Holland is a tourist city in a tourist state. Unfortunately, the nudist resort near Battle Creek is up for sale since the owners are retiring. Not sure who will take over, but they certainly had campsites. :D

"Bears" a spooky resemblance to many places to stay in Gatlinburg TN.

Except that sometimes the bears in G-burg are real... :yikes:

PantyFanatic 12-03-2008 12:13 AM

Oh boy! Oh boy! :line:

I know Sharni will be trying to make it to THIS get together. :nana:

dicksbro 12-03-2008 02:50 AM

Was that bear or bare?

Oldfart 12-03-2008 06:12 AM

I suspect either's fine.

Hey Sweetie......there is a local one up the road from us that you would need a tent or camper to stay in.

There are several not overly far from us that have cabins and stuff to do.

If Michigan is going to happen at the end of July or sometime in August, count me in. Although I will need someone to keep me informed some way other than the mighty Interweb since I don't have it at my apartment any more (kind of puts a damper on keeping up with what's going on online) :)
