Did a pretty good job of it too *LOL* Can i just add though....i can assure you that most women would not go through with this if it wasn't a health issue...breast reduction is after all major surgery... I prefer natural too....but tell ya what i'll give my boobs to carry around for a while and see if you want to carry them for all time :D:D they weigh heaps and they get in the way.. I can assure you if my breasts didn't aggrevate my health issues...i would put up with them The though of my boobs being sliced...poked...prodded....rearranged and then sewn back together...puts the wind up me big time...i am in no way looking forward to the discomfort and pain associated with this procedure....but too me it will be worth it in the long run |
I hope that my input is okay seeing as I'm still pretty new here...
The health issue alone is reason enough to do what you have to do. I've been under similar circumstances before, and have a pretty big scar as proof. Knowing that the procedure is important for long term health unfortunately doesn't diminish the frear and uncertainty that the prospect of surgery brings. I wish you the best with this, and it sounds like you are looking at it the right way - and that is the best way to move forward! |
Like I said earlier you should have to justify it to others. Health is more important than peoples opinion. I say it again I applaud all of you for which ever decision you all take. Just my 2 cents
|
Please forgive it should say "SHOULDN'T" darned fingers anyway. Thanks

Hi Sharni,
A couple of quick points: Has your doctor recommended any counselling regarding this? (Assuming, of course, that you've gotten to that point in your deliberations) Be sure and get as many (professional) opinions as possible (and practical). Perhaps it would be best if you could find a woman surgeon to perform the operation. A woman would probably be more aware and sensitive to technical issues (i.e. nipple sensitivity, etc) and your physical comfort. Just MY 2 cents worth... |
Male or female makes no difference to me
The surgeon I have chosen is highly regarded for doing excellent work...my family doctor recommended the surgeon, I trust my doc and feel he would not steer me into wrong hands. Thanx everyone for your concern on this matter *hugz* I still am interested in hearing from ppl who have gone through this procedure.. |
OMG - well i am sooooooo happy i have found pixies, becos of
seeing sharns messages etc, i know what u r going thru sharn- i am on a waiting list here in NZ for breast reduction surgery- and im sorry to say but i couldnt give a fuck what men think! as far as im concerned it comes down to the individual and whether they are happy in life- i know that in my life i am so restricted in the things i can do and used to love doing(running, playing pool, golf yada yada) yes ok suposedly men love big tits but in reality who cares!! it is 'Our' bodys that go thru the pain of carrying xtra weight that disallows more fun activites and im talking non sexual things- yes there is fun out side the bedroom lol, anyway i am also keen to hear of any stories, and i guess im willing to have scars so as i can go onto have a normal fun life with my partner, where going for a walk(for example- yeah ok bit boring for pixies lol) might sound boring for some, but can be a fun uh hem ;) time for others that cant be enjoyed as freely as women who are more 'normal sized'.... and yes i do have a partner who unbelivebly loves me for who i am (big hooters ! but would just be happy to see me happy- am i lucky or what...:)) |
Sharni, it's a big step (no pun intended) but I would encourage you to do it for yourself, to be able to later do the things you wanted. I don't know what it feels like to be on the "other side" cos I also wanted to be bigger myself :o and even once considered a boob job (but waayyy to chicken). Hope it all goes well for you hun ((hugs))
And I have to agree Sharn, that is one hell of a scrumptious elf (yummm) Sign me up for that elf fetish! ;) |
I have had a reduction, I went from a 38 F to a 38 C and am extremley happy with my results, I wouldn't change a thing about it, except for the pain for the first few weeks.
I sympathize with the pain, it got unbearable after I had my daughter my breast size went up to a 42 I. I was so miserable from my breasts not being pregnant. |
Update:
Have just learnt that my Private health membership will cover breast reduction, provided it's done for medical reasons (mine will be) not purely cosmetic So instead of costing me AU$5000 to get done it will cost me approx. AU$500 So now i'm starting on serious weight loss (they would be reluctant to do it at the weight i am)....once i'm at a more respectable weight i will be going for it!! Will keep you updated as things progress A big thanx to all who have added they're say in this thread *HUGZ* Any new (or lurkers:D) members had experience with breast reduction? |
oh excellent news!!! ((hugs))
|
