Ugh, I'd likely do the same.

Few years ago, me and hubby were down visiting my family and staying with my grandparents. I went out back and stepped onto the porch, and a itty bitty 7 or 8" garter snake slithered across the cement and under the porch. I jumped onto the rail, and screamed my head off until Nick heard me and came running. I jumped into his arms, and made him carry me inside and shut all the doors. After I explained, he started laughing, but he said when he heard me scream, he thought for sure I'd found my grandpa lying dead in the garden, or something.

As for rubber snakes... UGH UGH UGH. The plastic ones that stay in one position are nothing. I won't touch them, sure, but I can tell they are nothing.

On the other hand, those damn rubber ones that flop all over when you pick em up.... Well, my son got one last year, and we were cleaning his room, and I made Nick pick it up and put it away, and held my breath cringing, on the verge of a panic attack, at the idea that he might toss it at me, just to tease me. UGH UGH UGH.

Mine is the fear of dark places. Not sure what that's called or the reason why I am afraid of the dark. Lord help me if the power goes out at night....I literally freeze up and cease to function til the power comes back on.

I get pretty scared of spiders if they take me by surprise, or if they scurry off somewhere and I can't see or get to them to kill them. Speed generally bothers me more than size. Still, I'm not sure if it qualifies as arachnaphobia.

I wouldn't even be worried about tattoos.I have three(3).You don't have to look,when they're done,& most can't be seen when
they are done.They don't even hurt.You might get a mild burning
sensation.I got my last one,at my wifes request,(she paid for it!)
It is around my left upper arm area & unless you try to look,you
don't see the Tattoo artist applying it! Irish

Mine is the fear of being "trapped" somewhere....a car, bus, somewhere without a car, a boat....i hate it!

I've scared myself a few times!

I didn't really explain the depths (or heights?) of my acrophobia...caused me to spend $$$ I really didn't have to have gutter helmet installed on my house last year...because I can't stand climbing up on a shaky ladder 30 ft up in the air to clear the leaves & shit out of the gutters..

Whenever my husband watches "Who Wants to be a Millionair" I get so aggrevated because I never know the answers....Well tonight it came up...."If you have a coulorphobia what do you have an intense fear of" and I blurted out CLOWNS...hubby looked at me like "huh?" and that came up...the guy missed it on the $500,000 question!!!! I said, "he should sign up at Pixies"....

I couldn't wait to share it..woo whoo! I learned something here, I can't believe it.
