Speaking of innovation....When I was living in TN, I found that RAID (a US bug killer brand) makes a product that will shoot a stream of bug killer...

...up to 12 FEET. :D Best product I've ever bought for less than $5 USD

Remind me if I go and visit Austraila, I think I want to go with a full HazMat suit.

Mark Vieth 02-13-2005 02:35 AM

Now now it ain't that bad here. Hazmat suit is a bit much.
If the bugs don't kill ya, the heat will.

I read an article about the poor sales of the bug bait type pesticide products. The conclusion drawn was that people want to spray, stomp, pulverize bugs and need to see them dead. So bugs taking poison away to die was not satisfying to consumers.

It may take more than a Haz-Mat suit to save you.

The funnel-web is a primitive spider, like a small American Tarantula, built like a bull-dog

with BIG fangs.

A big female's fangs may be 3/16th of an inch, and she is more dangerous than a rattlesnake.

For me, I think it depends. I want to see spiders *die* ~~ mostly because I believe that they are solitary pests and do not travel in groups.

I kinda like the concept that cockroaches and/or rats would carry the pesticide back to their "colony" and kill a group of them ~~ I suspect for this purpose that type of product is most effective.

However....I haven't had cockroaches since college, and I hope I have no use for that product any time soon. I dislike bugs. I'm only deathly afraid of spiders, btu I wouldn't choose to have any bug in the house.

OK.....Now I'm starting to wonder if the Aussies are just screwing with the Americans' heads. LMAO. If not, I'm gonna have nightmares about spiders with big fangs tonight.

:yikes:

Ucky!!! I'm not a fan of any sort of creepy crawly, they can be anywhere they like so long as it isn't in my house or in my yard/garage where I can see them. I had my first encounter with cockroaches here in Texas at my apartment, it was horrific and I had more than one nightmare about waking up to them crawling on my bed or stepping on one when I got out of bed. I see an occassional variety of little spiders in my house, typically they are dead, my cat seems to like to kill but is more inclined to eat dry kitty food.

Nah, just grab them by the hair, throw them facedown on the bed, and then...

Oh. That only works for me because I married a mammal.
