But I am so in love with this tree! It has to be at least 100 years old..........Lilacs are usually bushes and this tree is so knarly and has a charater all it's own. The blossoms are dark and oh so fragrant!

well i've been away for a while so i've only just gotten around to posting back on this thread.

here's some more pics for you

you might like this rose. it actually changes colour from yellow through pink, white and red.

It starts off yellow...

...and finishes up pink

here you can see a new bud and an old flower

and here's another rose that's only been in the ground since June.
