I don't actually "get it" anymore, just some of the symptoms.... :( cravings, bitchiness, tired, grumpy, sore boobs...........

Chey.....I take estrogen now it really helps with all that ya know. especially the sore boobs (cystic breasts)

I have to be really careful since I had that medication induced mini-stroke...I am unable to take any HRT :( so I have to "suffer" through most of this. I have noticed though that what I eat or what I don't eat has an effect on my symptoms - watch the caffiene, sodium, and carbs :( - basically everything that I crave, I need to cut out during these times...

I did buy some herbal stuff that is supposed to help... Estoven - but it doesn't work if I don't take it! LOL (according to Cobalt) I don't like taking pills - that is my problem....

I'll send anyone in need a pint of Graeter's double chocolate chip ice cream...simply devine!

Cheyanne, Estroven is good stuff, I take it too. I've done alot of reading and have found that 1200 mg. of calcium per day is supposed to have a higher rate of effectiveness on PMS, etc, than antidepressants do. You take 600mg with breakfast, and 600mg with lunch. I also take ST. John's Wort at bedtime.

I can't say it's eliminated all my ups and downs, but it's definitely helped.

Yep, over the counter I take estroven and calcium too.

I have been ok'd to take estroven from the doc..will have to ask about the calcium. She has warned me against the St. John's Wort because I take an asprin a day... (supposed to anyway - I hate taking medicine!) Anyway, she suggested that before I try anything herbal, I should check with her first and make sure that she has the information in my file.

I will start to take it and get back with you ladies!! :D

Here's my dilemma...for those who hate the price of tampons or pads. I have to use both at once! The super/super/duper/super tampon (dunno what it's called, but it's big!) and then the max/mini overnight/can hold more liquid than the Hoover Dam pad they ever dreamt of making! Second day woes...I've gotta change all this shit up to ten times before I go to bed! Get's pretty pricey!

:mad: ggrrrr I'm a bitch from hell today. I just about beheaded a male check out person. I had to go to the store, not a good thing when you are craving junk food, I had a good $30 worth of junk food besides everything else. I'm bitchy and just want to get back home, so I go to the shortest line which has a male checker. Everytime he picked up something of my junk food he would look at me and my spare tire. So after about the fifth time I finally asked what his problem was, he says he don't have a problem and goes back to ringing up my stuff, still glancing at me when he rings up a snack. I glared at him the whole time, ran mycard thru the machine, had my hand out for the receipt when a manager walked up and asked if everthing was ok. I grabed my receipt and told him the next time I had PMS and wanted junk food I was going to the line with a female checker so I would'nt be judged by some male idiot looking at me like I did'nt need the junk food and walked out. grrrrr

It's not fair males don't get a monthly. grrrr

So who needs a snack, I got french style cheesecake, while chocolate macadamia nut cookies, donut holes(glazed), strawberry turnovers, pringles, and cookie dough ice cream. LOL :spin:
