Booger 11-10-2005 11:57 PM

I could see that being dangerous if someone didn't know what they were doing could hit your house or worse hurt then selves.

IAKaraokeGirl 11-11-2005 04:14 PM

LMAO.

"OFFER: Leftover Halloween candy.

My kids have picked through & we have a bowl full of lollipops & some sour chewy

I see ones like that, too! It's so odd! Then again, I've started threads asking for opinions so I'm not gonna cast stones.
:wingang:

In my defence, Pixies is more of a community than Freecycle. My Freecyles want no extraneous posts whatsoever.

IAKaraokeGirl 11-12-2005 12:32 PM

<----received offers/suggestions for child care when moving to the area. It's how I met someone who now is a good friend. :rolleyes2

wyndhy 11-12-2005 01:01 PM

not casting stones, just wondering how you leave an idea on the curb. :spin:

:p:D

IAKaraokeGirl 11-12-2005 01:40 PM

Ah, but see, that's one of the rules in our freecycle forum...they discourage curb stuff. :D

Lilith 11-12-2005 02:34 PM

We have a seperate forum for chat stuff but only items go to the list. Pets can be listed too. People also post things they see by the side of the road that look good. They just post the street they saw it on.

IAKaraokeGirl 11-12-2005 03:51 PM

*snicker*

OFFER: Large box

It measures: 24 inches x 24 inches x 13 inches high."

I like this one from today:

"OK, this refrigerator is a sears coolmaster 14. It's white. It's
approximately 35 years old and it still runs like a swiss watch. Only
2 problems; because it's older, it's got some very light rust spots.
My wife once used a scouring pad to clean it and it looked almost new
again. Secondly the interior light in the refrigerator only comes on
annually. 1 time per year it lights for one opening and that's it.
Otherwise, this unit is in great shape, the interior is metal not
plastic and all the racks and drawers are clean. If you come and get
it I can assist you getting it into your vehicle."

OMG--"annually."

Cheyanne 11-16-2005 10:28 PM

LOL ^^^^^^^^ that is a good one KG!

I did miss a bread machine.. :( - nothing weird, but a person does have to be fast on these boards!

IAKaraokeGirl 11-25-2005 05:20 PM

I just saw this:

"2 bottles of Suntan lotion."

Um, excuse me? We just got 14" of snow on Friday. :D

Lilith 12-13-2005 05:27 AM

Precisely why the suntan lotion is now expendable :D

IAKaraokeGirl 12-13-2005 06:00 AM

gekkogecko 03-23-2006 11:39 AM

Found this e-mail from a friend of mine today:

Saw this on Freecycle and thought you might know of someone who would
be interested. Call me ASAP
------------------------------------------

My husband is in the military, and they use to use this coffin to
practice for funerals. He brought it home a few years ago when they
were getting rid of them at work. We've used it for a halloween
decoration and my husband has always wanted to make a cooler out of
it. Just never took the time to do it. It's heavy and you will need
two people or a dolly and a truck to move it. We are moving and can't
take it with us. I'm in the 21230 area.
