I can't help noticing that the only serious affirmative responses are from the females.

Just an observation, no offense or defense intended...

Maybe just a sign that intuitive thinking has its place in the world as well.

We are more in touch with our "feelings". ;) Hehe.

I noticed that, too, Scotzoid. I'm guessing that sometimes folks use humor to deal with subject that they are uncomfortable with?

scotzoidman 09-11-2007 03:59 PM

I'm not uncomfortable with the subject, just very skeptical...my wife claims to have had several experiences with relatives that have just passed, including a moment after my mother died when Mrs Zoid claimed to have heard her say "Take care of my boys..."

Myself, I 'd like to believe that I could communicate with the departed...got a few things to get off my chest ;)

Interesting about Mrs. Zoid, Scotts. That can be an altering "moment" for one's thoughts. And, I can understand your skepticism. Some of the more prominent psychics have fallen back on theatrics. That one show from England, "Most Haunted" I think it's called; bills itself as entertainment. That keeps them from being debunked or from attempting to concentrate on building their skills. Many psychics or mediums fall back on reading body language and facial expressions. You'd be amazed at what you give away when you think you are perfectly still. One thing I do believe...if you truly have the gift, you should not charge money or expect remuneration of any kind for what you do. It can taint the gift. I figure this is what has happened to those that charge upwards of $300 for a reading. I find that outrageous and exploitive of human emotions. I'd better step off the soapbox, now. :)

BTW...this all just my own humble opinion. No offense intended towards anyone. :)

Has anyone ever met another human being where the hair literally stood up on the back of your neck and on your arms? Was it a good feeling or a "Get outta there!" feeling?

Lilith 09-15-2007 10:00 PM

I "read" people immediately. I have met people who I feel have horrible energy.

Does it have to be 'hair'?

Fangtasia 09-15-2007 10:54 PM

*LOL*

Yep had some people give off 'bad' vibes

I certainly WISH some of my dreams would come true *LOL*...not many do though unfortunately!! (and thankfully fortunately!!)

scotzoidman 09-15-2007 11:08 PM

No hair raising, & no voices, but once I did have a sense that I should not go into that building...I was job hunting, & desparate, but something told me that I would regret walking in & asking for a job app...later I got a decent job, & told my new supe about the other place...he told me that my feeling was dead on, he had wasted the best years of his life in that very bldg...

Oldfart 09-16-2007 03:44 AM

I have met women where other things have stood up. That's the spirit.

Loulabelle 09-16-2007 06:13 AM

I've definitely met people whom immediately felt uncomfortable with. One person in particular whom I would never have trusted with children. Possibly horribly unfair to him, but I just didn't like the vibe he gave off.

Having said that, none of them have been really 'psychic' feelings, just usual human reactions to people who aren't socially competent or who just seem suspicious to me. In other words, pretty much the average human response to any/all politicians!

Mae 09-17-2007 04:24 PM

PF...I believe there is hair around there.

OF...You and PF do think alike.

Loulabelle...I understand. I've met some people who look and seem fine, but something about them made my hair stnad on end.

Scotzoid...That's great! Your instincts must be pretty sharp.

I found my small deck of tarot cards. I used to use a regular deck of playing cards for readings years and years ago. Kind of rusty at this kind of thing. A good psychic, many years ago, told me I would do well to look into a bowl of water or still water. Hopefully not face first? Anyway, I may have a go at this when I have some time to myself. (Like that will happen.) Anyone else out there use anything to focus your mind? (Yes, I realize that leaves the answer possibilities wide open.)
