?????

gekkogecko 03-10-2009 12:56 PM

Scarecrow, you're not confused. You only think you're confused.

PantyFanatic 03-10-2009 02:09 PM

And you sure are not alone. :rolleyes2

BIBI 03-11-2009 06:38 AM

I think we should just go to PF's house and have him whip up some TV dinners! ;)

He can then take us on a tour of his panty museum.....I hear the gift shop is a hoot. Then we can embark on seeking out flying monkeys and take a wonderful cruise on his yacht( ;) )

What do you all think of that??? LOL

dicksbro 03-12-2009 04:36 AM

^^^^ Now THAT sounds like a plan.

Scarecrow 03-13-2009 05:10 PM

Needing to know dates to put in for time off.

PantyFanatic 03-13-2009 06:45 PM

I thought that was set. My calendar is marked off for July 17-19 .

How could I ever explain the Cuyahoga Moon? :roflmao: You'll have to come to PAGAN-09 to see that.

dicksbro 03-19-2009 02:58 PM

What's happening?

Who all is still interested in Holland, Michigan for 7-17 to 7-19.

Without checking any discounts (for # of rooms or AARP or whatever), Best Western has a nice looking inn in Holland but the rates are shown as $140+. The Best Western in Saugatuck just a few miles away are $76+ and looks very nice from the pictures on the net. Suspect both offer discounts of one form or another based either on the number of rooms or because of AARP/etc. discounts.

We really do need to start firming something up if we're going to do this. Otherwise, it looks like PF's house is going to be crowded (except for the times that we're at the Flying Monkey Bar).

:)

Scarecrow 03-19-2009 05:35 PM

I stayed at the Best Western in Holland ($140) last Oct and it is a very nice place to stay. It had entry from both inside hallway and out side on the first floor. That date is OK with us and the group discount is usaul about the same as the ARRP discount, but with the traveling public staying home we might get a better rate for a group.

Scarecrow 03-22-2009 12:41 AM

anyone else interested?????????

Oldfart 03-22-2009 01:50 AM

Sadly, not till '10.

dicksbro 03-22-2009 02:23 AM

Heck, Scarecrow, if no one is really interested in Holland anymore, maybe the Mrs and I and you guys will just have to make a day of it over at Allerton Park!

Scarecrow 03-22-2009 11:44 AM

Sounds good to me. Even if we do get together in Holland, Allerton Park is a nice way to spend a day.

PantyFanatic 03-22-2009 12:58 PM

I want to be there, but you are going to have to stand still. :hair:

dicksbro 03-22-2009 11:53 PM

Holding still!

Well, we're up to five people and three rooms it sounds like. Probably need a couple more rooms to get a discount, but Holland could still be a go. Watcha' think? Shall we just plan on Holland and hope we get the rooms? Do you want me to check there in Holland or in Saugatuck for the best deal?

PantyFanatic 03-22-2009 11:59 PM

That's what I have chiseled on my calendar. I have to go there to throw a javelin at somebody's ass.

I know of one more that is interested.

Scarecrow 03-23-2009 12:40 AM

Go for it DB, either hotel will be fine with us.

Just went and checked rates for the weekend 07/17/09 -07/20/09 and the one in Holland had the better rates using AARP/Senior.

Booger 03-23-2009 12:59 AM

Sorry everyone I've been dealing with a few personal problems since the beginning of this year and just haven't got anything done with it. Let me check out a few things to see if I can get a better deal with hotels.

AngelicVampires 03-23-2009 07:31 PM

I am still very interested in coming to PAGAN...I just need to know definite dates and possibly cost.

PantyFanatic 03-24-2009 02:17 AM

That part is finally nailed down, AV. It will be Friday thru Sunday, July 17-19.

Historically there are a lot of interesting options to do on a VERY flexible agenda and the one actual scheduled event of the dinner Saturday evening. We are all cheapskates (from the real world) and go for the best bargains available. You'll spend more going to an amusement park for a weekend and not have as much fun. ;)

Booger 03-24-2009 04:24 PM

Did a little checking around on hotels and found Microtel Inn and Suites [/QUOTE] room range from $79 to $99 a night it's a new hotel and from everything I read it's a nice place. Would you be interested in something like this to save some money or go with Best Western for something you know?

PS they don't offer group rates unless you have 9 or more rooms so that most likely won't do us any good.

Senior discount or AAA discount looks like it's about 10%. With taxes, that brings the $79 rate (+ taxes) down to about $76 with taxes included. Sounds okay to us.

I'd say, let's go for it. PF, why don't you give some thoughts to a "Numbers" game we might try. And Boog, maybe you could check out local restaurants and see what might look good for our Saturday night dinner! :)

I'll take a stab at a PAGAN 09 logo and share it with you. :spin:

Okay, here's the first shot at a logo for the get together. Subject to change without notice. :)

Would also serve as our Name Badges (with the names added, of course. :) )

Scarecrow 03-25-2009 10:45 AM

Count us in. I would also like to have a Saturday lunch at the beach. We could do burgers and dogs or something like that.

Booger 03-25-2009 02:02 PM

This Bil-Mar Restaurant is the restaurant I had in mind for the Saturday night dinner and I was also planning on lunch at Tunnel Park. I was thinking after Dinner we could walk around Grand Haven and then maybe check out the Musical Fountain .

Scarecrow 03-25-2009 03:57 PM

Tunnel Park, is that the first beach we went to last Oct.? IF so that will be a great place to go.

Booger 03-25-2009 10:59 PM

yep that the one Scarecrow

I have a pellet with that squirrel's name on it. LOL.

So does that mean you guys are in? :) Or, does the squirrel win by default? :(

AngelicVampires 03-27-2009 10:29 AM

So would we be staying in Holland then for sure?

Yes we will be staying at the Microtel Inn & Suites in Holland(link above), the dates are July 17 - 19. Some of us may come a day early and stay a day later. So anyone interested this looks like it is a go.

PantyFanatic 03-27-2009 03:52 PM

Exactly what he ^^^ said, AV.

My reservation is made for those dates and I was told that even while we can't guarantee a group of 9 or more rooms, they will try to give us rooms near each other if requested when making your reservation. For whatever reason, we have learned that trying to get 'clustered' under a group name seems not to work well for any of them. I spoke with a "Rose" actually in Holland (not a reservation center) that recommended requesting a location near a person is easier for them. She also recommended that due to July being the height of vacation season, reservation should be made by May 1st, especially if we want to get grouped near by.
You can PM me or any of the other Pixies with any detail questions.

:car:

dicksbro 03-27-2009 07:18 PM

We haven't yet, but expect to make the reservations in April.

PantyFanatic 03-27-2009 08:48 PM

BTW-

When I entered my search data and AARP from Microtel's reservation page, I they showed rooms at USD $62.10. :thumb:
