Having our TV act up. It's not that old, but will need to be replaced, I'm afraid.

Oldfart 08-10-2008 04:08 PM

Isaac Hayes.

FlirtWithMe 08-10-2008 05:11 PM

A stupid argument with a valued friend :(

ETA In fact I'm not just sad about this, I'm really quite upset and angry about it too as it was totally unnecessary :( :banghead:

AZRedHot 08-10-2008 08:09 PM

Seeing the obituary of a friend's father.

jay-t 08-10-2008 09:33 PM

Having to replace the radiator in my truck today

fantasylife 08-10-2008 10:30 PM

Almost a year ago, I met a good man off of a internet dating site. He's nothing to look at, but he is a really good man. He lives in the next state, but we try to get together every three months. He is a great father figure to my daughter who has never met her's before. We have a wonderful time together when we are together and do alot of family activities. About 2 months ago, he told me that he doesn't see us having a permanent relationship together. He says that some of my ways are not to his liking. (like watching TV in the bedroom). We are still friends and still do things together.

Today was just one of those days that I was just thinking about him and feeling frustrated with the situation and sad for myself :boohoo: - to love someone who doesn't love you like a woman, but rather just as a friend.

Oldfart 08-11-2008 04:00 AM

fantasylife, look for someone you can see at least every other day.

It's so much easier to hold a relationship close.

PantyFanatic 08-12-2008 05:23 PM

A 7 year old girl was buried today. :(

Oldfart 08-12-2008 05:31 PM

That's sad.

osuche 08-12-2008 08:42 PM

Seeing someone I've come to respect and like for the last time.

IowaMan 09-02-2008 03:54 PM

Finding out that Jerry Reed passed away. Mom always played his albums when we were kids. I remember dancing around the living room with her and my sister to his music. Just makes me sick to think he's gone. :(

Aqua 09-02-2008 06:28 PM

That^^^ and the passing of Don LaFontaine.

WildIrish 09-02-2008 06:33 PM

Mrs. WI's bad reaction to some plant that has given her a rash all over her body, and has made her eyes swell up until they're almost closed.

osuche 09-02-2008 11:44 PM

Coming home...to reality :(

IowaMan 10-11-2008 12:12 PM

Another day with morning wood and nobody here to help me take care of it. :tear:

Irish 10-12-2008 10:35 AM

My wife & I are both sad & mistified that the political candidates, can raise
so much money & the needy groups for many health funds cannot.(cure for
cancer,Diabetes,Autism, etc)too many to mention without leaving something out) Irish
P.S.One of our grandsons has Autism & I know how expensive it is for our
daughter, both in time & money! :spank:

osuche 10-12-2008 10:55 AM

That I can't unequivocally say everything is fine

IowaMan 10-12-2008 11:49 AM

Thinking about my neighbor who is in very bad health. :(

IowaMan 10-29-2008 06:51 PM

Still the same as back then. ^^^ She's not doing very well. :(

FlirtWithMe 11-08-2008 11:01 AM

The news of the Haiti school collapse :(

and the 8 year old boy facing two counts of premeditated murder. I hate to think what that little boy has been through to end up in such a position :(

Oldfart 11-08-2008 08:41 PM

I'll be very interested to hear the whys in this case.

BamaKyttn 11-08-2008 08:59 PM

how awful, to think that an 8 year old child can feel that the way out is through such violence and I'm sure someones going to blame video games and tv.

Oldfart 11-08-2008 09:01 PM

An 8 year old living alone with Dad and his mate may feel he has many good reasons to pot the old man.

BamaKyttn 11-08-2008 09:03 PM

I would assume theres another person living there b/c of domestic violence records previously.

Lilith 11-08-2008 10:41 PM

He supposedly has no school issues.

Romans had been renting a room at the Romero house, prosecutors said. Both men were employees of a construction company working at a power plant near St. Johns.

WildIrish 11-10-2008 10:32 PM

Giving up something that's been a part of my life for a long time.

What crap news, I'm sorry you've been laid off :( Hope you find some more work soon.

What made me sad today? Having to find a quiet spot on my own in which to observe the two minutes' silence as the people I was with didn't seem to grasp that they were supposed to stop talking :ranting:

IowaMan 11-14-2008 08:26 AM

Finding out that my dear neighbor passed away yesterday.

IowaMan 11-14-2008 08:44 AM

Yes, she's been quite ill for some time now and had been in a care center for the last almost two months. :(

It just breaks my heart.

sodaklostsoul 11-14-2008 10:33 PM

Awww. RIP Frieda!!

FlirtWithMe 11-15-2008 04:50 AM

Conversation with a friend :boohoo:

IowaMan 11-17-2008 05:36 PM

One of the neighborhood kitties sitting at the front door of my neighbor's house waiting for her to give him a treat. Poor thing doesn't realize she's not coming home. :(

BamaKyttn 11-25-2008 09:52 PM

in the last three months or so I've had to put down a (relatively) healthy 2 year old dog for unprovoked aggression, and lost my first cat, he was alway slight, my little black cat, would ride on my shoulder such a mommas boy. My other indoor cat is a mess, he's usually very standoffish, not friendly in the least....he's been very needy, touching me constantly, curled up by or on me, talkin (miao'ing) to me....sigh. poor Rocky.

RIP Rune

AZRedHot 11-25-2008 10:03 PM

I had surgery this morning, and while I was in pre-op, it became clear that the lady in the area next to mine had lost a baby. I was so sad for her.
