I'm making apricot-mustard chicken breasts with a wine and cream sauce like Lake used to make me. :) I'm making rice and stir-fried veggies to go with it.

BamaKyttn 06-23-2010 07:43 PM

Marlboro fixed Baked Cornish Game Hens with veggies for my parents tonight.... It was awesome, from frozen to plated and served in about two hours! My parents had orgasms at the same time for the first time in years! He has cooked almost every day since he's been here ( almost four weeks!) he heads home tomorrow I don't know who will miss him more dad, the dogs or me......

Neige 06-26-2010 05:12 PM

I'm making venison chili tonight!

Lord Snow 06-26-2010 07:52 PM

I love venison. Nice and lean, but full of flavor. MMMMMMMMM.

Neige 06-26-2010 08:23 PM

It was yummy in the chili!!!!!!!!!!!

Lord Snow 06-26-2010 10:03 PM

My dad made venison steaks for dinner once. It was excellent what I got to eat of it. Unfortunately my mom called in the middle of dinner so the steak got cold and you just can't reheat something like that.

Neige 06-26-2010 10:11 PM

It's usually steaks that we get when someone gives us venison, but this time it was ground meat. I think our last pound of it will be burgers :)

PantyFanatic 06-26-2010 10:30 PM

I didn't have any tonight but as some of you know, 2 freezers are filled with venison in every form by my son-in-law every year. He says, and I agree after eating for a number of years now, that butchering correctly makes a big difference in taste. He makes a venison sausage that I don't want anybody else to know about. I make a point to honor every invitation to dinner throughout the year. :bite: I recall a couple years ago around September or October when my daughter called to say she was going to have to start buying beef.:yikes:

I have two very lucky granddaughters. :)

Fangtasia 06-27-2010 01:22 AM

OMG your eating Bambi *eek*

Lord Snow 06-27-2010 10:57 AM

And boy does he taste good! I don't know about the rest of the country, but I can confirm that here in Tennessee because of the expansion of the human population and the subsequent taking over of natural habitats as well as the killing of wolves and coyotes the deer population has boomed to an alarming size. Because of this boom, more deer are starving to death as opposed to natural predators. In essence, we have no choice but to hunt and eat deer.

meatloaf w/awesome sauce and mac-n-cheese

Fish chowder you say... :D

osuche 06-28-2010 10:26 PM

Planning to head over for some bread, oil, and seafood pasta at a local joint. I was going to fix dinner, but it's so darn hot...I'm choosing a restaurant with outdoor seating because right now it's cooler outside than in my house. Sigh.

Neige 07-03-2010 04:25 PM

I'm going to make burgers from the last of the ground venison Wilderness's friend had given us. With bacon and cheese. Yummmmmmmmmmmm...

Lord Snow 07-03-2010 11:35 PM

I had two cheeseburgers, a slice of pork tenderloin, my chili, and a few glasses of cola. We did our 4th of July blow out today since most of us have to work Monday morning.

Lord Snow 07-04-2010 09:30 PM

Leftovers!

jseal 07-05-2010 04:40 PM

Dearsweet has prepared ham and mushroom lasagna. It is, in its own way, as delicious as she is!

Oldfart 07-05-2010 05:20 PM

Airline food.

jseal, if the dearsweet one can shed the mushrooms, I'll detour.

I've almost enough time between flights.

jseal 07-05-2010 05:31 PM

Hmmmm... assuming that you are referring to the lasagna, I will talk with SHMBO.

Oldfart 07-05-2010 05:40 PM

Yep.

I just checked and I'm only stuck in Melbourne (Victoria, not Florida) for four hours, so we'll chase a raincheck.

PantyFanatic 07-05-2010 06:18 PM

Far too long for a day like that. :(

Neige 07-05-2010 06:33 PM

We had spaghetti.

Neige 07-09-2010 10:56 PM

I had a shish taouk wrap and Greek salad. Baklava for dessert.

Booger 07-12-2010 10:36 PM

A New York Strip steak and a baked potato

PantyFanatic 07-12-2010 11:07 PM
