BTW-
Are those 8" or 12" floor tiles? Either way, he's well over a 2 pounder.

Neige 06-11-2008 09:58 PM

I have no clue, it's the fisherman's floor, not mine LOL!

Oh WOW! Never heard of that. What accounts for the color shift. Must be something different in the diet.
VERY interesting.

Neige 06-11-2008 10:04 PM

I think it's more of a genetic mutation than the diet, but I really don't know!

Seeing that this has been lobster :jacques:, ....... I'll share a pic of a couple Homarus americanus that a friend (who will remain nameless Steph  ) sent me.

;)

Neige 06-11-2008 10:22 PM

And you thought my grandmother's lobster was a giant

PantyFanatic 06-11-2008 10:25 PM

The person that sent it to me is a monster so I figured it the norm.

(I think it could fly too)

You think maybe it aggravated an octopus and it squirted him with permanent ink.

OMG that IS a monster :yikes: But I would only guess it to be 2m long. ;)

I never thought about the trap size having a 'get out of jail free' factor. How old can one get?

Very interesting. TY for sharing.

PF,

2 metres long is the size of a medium football player.

The bug was maybe 800-900 millimetres ( perhaps 3 feet).

This is a statue in the Parc Mont Royal, here in Montreal. :)

Cute little feller (if snakes can be called "cute"). About three feet long, he spent most of his time hiding in a tree until we left him alone enough to slither away from all the gaping people.

Oldfart 06-22-2008 04:31 PM

Snakes, lovely creatures left well alone.

And here I thought it was only about 85 centimeters long. :hair:

;)

Oldfart 06-23-2008 03:51 AM

See, I told you so.

We'll discuss this at PAGAN08.

Now you know why it was so anxious to slither away. It spends it's whole day trying to hold down the insect and mouse populations and look at the thanks it gets. :(

Oldfart 06-23-2008 07:21 AM

Lil,

No little Slytherins in your dungeon just pottering around?

Lilith 06-23-2008 11:50 AM

We have too many in the yard for my liking.

PantyFanatic 06-23-2008 03:04 PM

Is it true all clowns have a bag of snakes? :D

dicksbro 06-23-2008 04:15 PM

Usually no more than one per pair of pants. :rolleyes2

You come from brave stock Rabbit.
I'm not sure my ancestors would have been quick to board a White Star ship berthed in the same dock as the Titanic left from.

Oldfart 07-07-2008 03:59 AM

Interesting, rabbit.

I notice the ship didn't have the dummy fourth smokestack like the Titanic and Britannic.

Went for a walk this morning and spotted this unusual scene showing two of my woodland friends.

Nice of them to cooperate with me letting me get their picture. :)

Lilith 07-14-2008 11:20 AM

Here, both could become dinner :p

There were actually two raccoons waddling across the open field area, but this one just happened to be in front of the camera when I got the picture of the doe. Really thought the picture would be blurred, but it came out pretty good. Saw eight deer on my walk and approached one within maybe 30 or 40 feet of her before she bolted back into the woods. Beautiful animals.

Here's the one I was so close to.

Lilith 07-14-2008 03:18 PM

Beautiful pics!

This was the scene here last night after a little rain shower. Nope, I couldn't find the pot of gold.
