LOL..I kinda figured that the last one would be the bomb dropper of all time. I'm not so much into his current stuff but his energetic rock/jazz/classical influenced stuff from the late 80's early 90's..ie Tour De France stuff was great to drive/work out with. But like I said, his is all keyboard based stuff and thats what I playe(d), so thats why. He used alot of classical/jazz in his music and i was trained as a classical musician as a kid. |
My grandkids love NSync and also somewhat of the Backstreet
Boys. You don't want your grandkids to live as wildly as you did so I think that NSync is a good role model for them. I used to likeThe Rolling Stones,The Eagles,Dr. Hook,AeroSmith, Bob Seegar, early Elton John, etc. My motorcycle cutoff(Retired)has a patch(many)on it still of a butterfly.I always liked the concept of the Elton John song-"Butterflies are free."I used to wear that cutoff to my probation office just because I knew that my Probation Officer hated it. Irish P.S.My oldest daughters son is 9yrs. and her daughter is 7yrs. He has a small motorcycle and she has a small FourWheeler. It must be in the family blood. My daughters grew up riding behind me;so have a healthy respect for bikes. |

for favorites, they happen to be what I grew up on... these are the ones I end up singing along to and not realize it...
- Huey Lewis and The News - Phil Collins (Genesis) - Billy Joel more towards today I have moved over to country - Garth Brooks - Conefederate Railroad - Trisha Yearwood on the odd side of things that I really really like to play loud - Nine Inch Nails - but only the "Pretty Hate Machine" album, after Trent's work went down hill quickly (at least I think so) - Fugazzi - "Waiting Room" and then what I listen to when I get home from work and am enjoying a nice cold beverage (preferably of the single malt variety :)) -- these are what I really really like to listen too! - Beethoven - you can pretty much play any of his stuff and I am going to like it - but, "The Pastoral" (6th symphony) is one of my all time favorites - Bach's cello suites (the recording done by PBS of Yo-Yo Ma playing these is awesome) - Dvorak's Symphony No. 9 "From the New World" - Bach's piano sonatas yeah... that about does it... all over the map (but no rap, sorry).... |
So many of my favs have been mentioned, but I cannot believe no one has mentioned...
THE BEATLES!?!? also the Animals (introduced me to lots of older blues acts) and the best thing happening in music today... Dave Matthews Band |

For Xmas, wife requested several cds from some of our 70s favs, have been in the player almost continuously since:
Pink Floyd Jethro Tull Uriah Heep |
I agree with many of the choices here... I think my list would be:
Tim McGraw (Who is surprised? ;) ) Aerosmith Garth Brooks And I don't know that this falls at all into the "of all time" category, but I am really into No Doubt and Dave Matthews Band right now too. :) |
