MidwestFest Where?
ok people, Now that we've shown some interest, I'd like to know where we could get together. I'm pushing for Branson MO, as I can coordinate reservations and entertainment for us here, but feel free to post your own suggestions..
Let's make it happen! Midwest Fest Info Thread |
Branson sounds like a fun place to me........
Branson is more than good for me.
Branson sounds good to me. There is alot to do up there, or near by.
Whitehorse, Kleclere, Dallas, TY for your input...That's 4 for Branson.. Anyone else?
Anywhere West of the Mississippi is good for me.
m45 - they don't call Branson "Nashville West" for nothin'
WEST??????

Isn't the Mississippi Falls where the earth ends? |
*waves arms in air wildly!*
HEYYYY!!! Don't forget me!!! You KNOW damn good and well I'd be voting for Branson! So make that 5!! And don't leave jennaflower out....after all she got the ball rolling on this get-together. |
I'm all for Branson!!! If'n i can meet Jenna and she finishes the drive.
oh Horseman.. I would gladly reward you for such a long drive :)
Branson works! it's about 3 hours but thats nothing for the people coming from other states. I've actually never been that way in Missouri before so it'll be a good chance for me to see what all the tourism is about ;)
Branson's a long drive. :(
Looks like a Landslide! Branson it is! Contact Jennaflower, Sugarsprinkles, or Myself in PM or E-mail to request brodures or flyers about the area, or see the list of sites earleir in this thread.
Thank you ALL for your interest! |
can we reserve a whole floor at a local hotel and throw a wild drunken orgy of love and passion? :D
BCG... I have a much shorter drive for you... :p
I don't know about Branson...just a bit far for me *grins and waves*
hrmmm, thats a 10 hour drive... Ive drove worse but.....
anybody coming from northwest wanna pick me up ? welll, its a posability |
*strokes beard and looks around... stands up as if to be heard... says nothing... sits back down and props his chin on his fist... goes back to lookin' around*
Branson wouldn't be too bad. Not sure I want to be there so soon after getting stuck there in the snow week of last Christmas! :)
It's about 8-9 hours for me from NE Illinois. Anyone want a lift? |
Branson seems to be a very goog site
Hey guys, I know there are a lot of you mid-westerners but if any of you watched the Super Bowl, you might condider my current hometown. No snow, warm breezes and perhaps a more liberal mindset than you are used to. Just a thought.
If you mean San Diego, wouldn't that defeat the purpose of a Midwest gathering? :)
*laughs and considers draggin Silky down here even if he doesn't want to come just for the shits and giggles*
San Diego is a bit more than the 10-15 minute drive to Branson for me......and it's already in the 70's here so I doubt we have to worry about much snow during the "Fest" |
Cabrylla just made me think of something. Nothing against Branson, but what'd be wrong with Springfield, MO? It's RIGHT off of I-44....
Branson's a bit south down the highway (unless it snows again like December, in which case it'll take all night to get there from Springfield ;) ). |
Quote:
Dadaist....nothing 'wrong' with Springfield, but there isn't the entertainment in Springfield that there is here in Branson. And btw.......when is the last time it snowed in the summer in Missouri?????? ;) :P LOL |
It is the midwest Sugarsprinkles and just because we are planning it it would snow. Murphy's Law LOL
I wasn't aware that any dates were set?
yeah it looks like mid-late June, early August...it isn't set in stone yet I think those are the times open for discussion though

DaDaist.....see this thread.......http://pixies-place.com/forums/show...&threadid=12433 It should answer your questions..... |
Just checked the other threads and it seems that late june is running at the forefront. If anyone wants hardcopy info on lodging, camping, entertainment, dining, etc, PM or E-mail me with your mailing addy and I will gladly snail mail you a packet.
As for renting a whole floor... there are literaly hundreds of lakeside resorts that will gladly rent anywhere from 1 to 10 cabins, sleeping 4 to 8 per, as long as they are pre-paid at the time of reservation. There has also been one member offer the use of his uncle's lakeside "cabin" (read that villa)... |
