OO Pretty Shining Spinny Things OO

What was the last CD you bought and was it worth the $$???? What does a CD cost in your area?

I bought greenwheel's ~ Soma Holiday. It's a great cd to wail to:p And it ran me about $13.

I swear I can't remember the last time I bought a CD! The "bought" ones I do have were purchased so long ago...I'm at a loss for an answer here! I have a few from way back but I don't know when and I don't know how much I paid!

Most of the CD's I listen to now-a-days......a friend burned for me!

*gonna make a list at the end of this thread and get out and support our artists!*

Last one I bought was the new Dixie's Chicks for $15. I like it. Great bluegrass tunes, great for doing housework :)

Lovediva 09-29-2003 12:05 PM

Nickleback - Silver Side Up
Paid about $14 and I've enjoyed it. Wouldn't Ya know my daughter already had it.

dicksbro 09-29-2003 05:43 PM

Don't remember the last one, but most tend to run $13-$16.

BlondeCurlGirl 09-29-2003 06:53 PM

It has been awhile since I bought one from the store. I got Tori Amos's Scarlet's Walk for $11.99 on sale at Best Buy.

Scarlett 09-29-2003 08:50 PM

It's pretty good Lilith. It's less rappy than they were in the past, a little bit harder. I like it.

Lone Star..greatest hits 12.99 at Wal-mart

MilkToast 09-30-2003 10:02 PM

well... though not technically a CD, it is a DVD of a music performance so I think it counts...

Diana Krall - Live in Paris. About $20 USD and worth every penny!

Oldfart 10-16-2003 12:17 PM

The Sounds of Round, bought early Aug on holidays, $US23.99.

It's the sound of old aircraft engines, music to my ears.

Last music was Tubular Bells, $AU 24.95 on special.

WildIrish 10-16-2003 01:02 PM

Josh Groban's self-titled cd. $16.99 I believe, and worth three times that in my opinion.

tightnwet 10-16-2003 01:56 PM

I bought Jason Mraz's Waiting For My Rocket to Come this summer. At the time I really didn't think any cd was worth forkin over $18.. But I was plesantly suprised. $18 is nothing for the countless hours I spend with that albumn in heavy rotation! :) :)

Lilith 10-16-2003 02:05 PM

tightnwet I enjoy that one too!

Agreed! Though I think that they should have used the version of "The Prayer" that he did with Charlotte Church instead. I just think that they are a better tonal match.

We've got a bunch of birthdays coming up, so I just bought several CD's for gifts......

'Evanesence' - $14.99
'Beach Boys Greatest Hits' - $14.99
'Nelly-Nellyville' - $17.99

And for myself from the clearance rack.....
'Lynyrd Skynyrd' - $6.99 (oldies but still good - my youngest even said she liked it - whoa!!! lol)
