I've heard talk of Guide Cookies, but they seem to be limited to the friends and families of the girls in brown. The custom of nubile young things coming around and having sex with singularly unattractive men in order to meet a biscuit sales quota has sadly missed this corner of Pixiedom.

Girl Scout and Girl Guide cookies are both sold by the girls only once a year. You can't get them in stores.

i got a recipe for thin mints once, recommending ritz crackers dipped in melted semi-sweet chocolate and mint extract. they were ok but i make them with nabisco famous chocolate wafers now and they're way better. not exact still. what i need to do is come up with a denser cookie.

in a case of extreme irony, my favorite girl scout cookies are the scot-t's. I hope that those of you who really know me understand why its ironic. Of course they no longer offer that kind of cookie, so I will say the peanut butter ones.

Leave me to my fantasies, which are really only true things that haven't happened to me yet.

Canda has Girl Guides and they only sell 1 or 2 varieties of cookies. For those in the US different areas sell at different times. For instance we are done selling and ours will be ready for delivery starting on Monday but the next state over starts selling tomorrow and won't deliver until the end of March.
