Scoob Not as many of the old boy, he was not in the mood *L* After playing with Nika he just wanted to relax, caught a few of him before he wandered off into his shady spot *L*     Love this pic!! (but boy look at the grey muzzle!)  |

New critters of the wild type. I'd noticed a few green tree frogs around this place, so i put out some foam boxes with water in it for them, well they obviously liked it *L*, i got tadpoles!! I'm watching and taking pics of them as they grow, they better be GTF not cane toads!! (if their toads they're gonna meet their maker!) They're kinda cute though *L*     |
Frell & Biatch have their own pad now, i'm hoping they feel comfy enough to spawn :D  The new 3ft is now filled (done 25th Dec 08), so should have fish at some stage, no hurry there, need to make sure the wood has finished leaching tannins (not that they should be leaching at all!! I had then in a tank for 2 yrs with no tannins at all! Ahhhhhhhh) 24 hours after being filled  After a full water change today :D  |

Cane toads are vermin...they need to die! They are an introduced species that is reeking havoc in Australia, specially QLD.
We dont have dart frogs i'm pretty sure *L* I reckon they're GTFs |
Do you want us to send you some snakes to take care of the toads?

No we won the toads cause they were sposed to eat the cane beetle, well they pretty much ate anything but. Toxic mongrel things.
And we have plenty of our own snakes thank you *L* which i might add the cane toad kills with their toxin if the snake is silly enough to try to eat it |

I havent seen tadpoles for years, i love em *L*...mind you the camera has opened up a whole new view of them to me!

UPDATES:
Bristlenose pleco breeding tank ~ I checked it tonight and guess what i got!! EGGS!!! Endler livebearer tank ~ I fed them this morning and what do i spy!!! FRY!!! It's all happening at the ARK!! Woooohooooooo |

Tis very exciting. I snapped some pics of the angels spawning     Will they eat them...probably. But practice makes perfect i hope *LOL* |
Oh and the BN, i got their eggs and put in a floating net to hatch, cause Dad was none to interested in looking after them. Well....i check the tank later and what do i spy!! MORE EGGS!! (i left these with Dad) LOL I really hope i can get them to hatch, and mature safely, saves me having to buy more for all the tanks *L* The netted eggs  |
I think that is so cool. Other than guppies I've never had aquarium fish have babies.

UPDATE: Angels ate the eggs, quite a few fungused up, so something wasnt right.It was suggested because the layed the eggs on the filter the water flow washed the males milt away before it fertalised them, sounds right to me. The filter is now gone and been replaced with a sponge type filter, more suitable anyway. So fingers crossed for the next batch. Bristlenose eggs have hatched!! Once they absorb the yolk i'll try for some pics. I bought a new (used) tank today *L* Bilbo is glaring at me *L*. Its a 4ft, i'll be using it as a growout tank. Bigger the tank the faster the BN fry will grow, the faster i can move them on. The 5ft is going great guns after the rescape.  |

Looking like a grown up! Wow....i know Nika has been getting more mature each passing month, but these pics just made me realise my baby really isnt a baby anymore, she looks so much like a full grown dog and she's only 6 months :? :shock:     |
Are you SURRRRRE she isn't part rabbit? :rolleyes: She's not going to grown into those ears unless she's part elephant.
