on a whimsical level I reckon God has a sense of humour so created the egg to allow him to watch all the other creatures looking at the egg thinking "what the f*ck is that,,,omg it's cracking open! argh!!!! run!!!"

If we are strictly talking chicken eggs and chickens, I believe tha chickens evolved, then laid eggs!

First there was no chickens.
But just a Bird who had two sexes in one!
Then they splitted in a female and a male (evolution)
And then came intercource and laid eggs.

The egg came first, of course... see, the deviled eggs are the appetizers, and the chicken is the main course...

I've got 2 unattached sons, if you're interested......

One born '79, very nice young man (oops, almost said boy!)
Works hard, has only missed one day of work since he started getting "real" jobs at 14, polite, all the stuff a mother brags about....and has'nt lived at home since he was 19

THEN..there's the other one.....born '76. (He doesn't know I know some of this stuff about him, so shhhhh, don't tell him I told!!) He's a porn junkie, loves to "cyber", is unemployed, lives at home still (not my idea...blame Dad!! LOL), lives on his computer too, and has a great sense of humor.

And they're both nice looking.......AND they both love Hockey!! (just read your post in the 3 Nice things thread!)
