Time machine

If I could build a time machine to send you on a one way trip, where might I send you--backward or forward.

The answer for myself would be backword:
1450 AD, Europe. Likely that I would not be a knight, but perhaps a member of a free company--lots of mischief I could get into there

Sharni 10-29-2003 09:18 PM

Backwards......the simplicity of life back then would do me fine

Gimme the horse and cart days :D

Backwards, to the old west days when they were headed west. Would love to meet and become friends and learn the ways of the Indians.

Definately back... *sigh* I would miss the plumbing though. lol

forward - only because my curiousity would get the better of me....

Back to the Roaring 20s

Steph 10-30-2003 08:02 AM

I can see that, Lilith. i just saw a movie based in the flapper days "The girl with the black hat" (titled translated) & can definitely see you there. In the movie, she cut her lovely locks, too.

I would also like to go forward. Where are our jet packs like in the Jetsons, I ask you?

jseal 10-30-2003 08:10 AM

Vullkan,

Forward please. Say about 60 to 80 years. While the world would be quite different, it would still be recognizable.

nikki1979 10-30-2003 11:07 AM

back,
i think times are to complicated now, id luv to have been round during the times of the first colonies in the states, ive always been facinated in the amount they had to endure and how brave they were, id luv to have been around to see (not nessacarly participate in , depends on what happened) what happened to the lost colony where everyone just vanished. i guess times were complicated then as well, just not the same way. the future holds no curiosty for me, i see where the world is heading, to much technology, to much to learn for my blonde head. i can see my first ride ona jet pack and have no wish to do that! to many broken bones waiting for me there.!!!

Each era has something exciting and different to offer.

None of which include regular bathing!

I kinda like the pioneer days, but it's hard to turn down a medival life!

Oldfart 10-30-2003 07:58 PM

Forward, at least 5,000 years.

We're either all gone, which makes for a peaceful time, or we've grown

beyond our strifes, which makes for a peaceful time.

denny 10-30-2003 08:50 PM

Backward, the planet is getting way to crowded for me.

LixyChick 10-31-2003 01:34 PM

Forward! I try to never turn back....(hey! I said, I try!)

I've been amazed at the changes in just the past 20 years......and I always say that my mother would be amazed if she could see us now! So....send me forward about 20 years or so! We are moving so fast that 20 years should give me some insightful information that I could at least keep up with and relate to!

PantyFanatic 10-31-2003 01:48 PM

Oldfart

I'll meet you there.:)

maybe:(

Stevo 11-01-2003 05:43 PM

Backward for me, love the idea of not having as much hassle and being free to go anywhere
