Origion of Beaver/Pussy

Okay...the euphimisms..beaver..pussy... Where do they come from? I see now beaver (and thankfully no teeth down there) and as for pussy...I does not look like a cat...any ideas?

Wikipedia reported on the word pussy, "Webster's Third International Dictionary point out similarities with the Old Norse, pūss (pocket); the Low German, pūse (vulva); and the Old English, pusa (bag), etc.; the medieval French word pucelle referred to a young adolescent girl. In the 17th century, the term was also used to refer to women in general." Interesting question, Jax, but, that's all I could find.

Didn't find anything on the word beaver.

beaver - O.E. beofor (earlier bebr), from P.Gmc. *bebruz (cf. Low Ger. bever, O.H.G. bibar), from PIE *bhebhrus, reduplication of base *bhru- "brown" (cf. Lith. bebrus, Czech bobr, Welsh befer, see bear (n.) for reason for this). Gynecological sense ("female genitals, especially with a display of pubic hair") is 1927 British slang, transferred from earlier meaning "a bearded man" (1910), from the appearance of split beaver pelts.
