Scared the Pants Off Me
 

I was watching something on VH1 and they were talking about Texas Chainsaw Massacre...lol I had forgotten all about that movie. Leatherface grew up to be pretty handsome;)


Usually gore and blood will just make me queasy but a suspenseful movie can scare the fuck out of me.

What movies seriously scared you? Do you have a fave blood-n-guts flick? what about a suspenseful movie moment that set your teeth on edge?

Suspense- Joy Ride. Man, that was a cool movie!
Blood and guts, not sure.
I was seriously scared by the first Elm Street movie, but I was only 15 years old. Blair Witch scared me once I got home and in bed, but not at the theater.
I read so much horror, that I think I may be immune to scary movies now.

OMG!!! Some of you may disagree with this.....but for me...it's The Ring...That movie scared the crap outa me. I went to see it in a special screening...so we were like one of the first audiences...in the thearter....the majority of the movie was just jumpy...but the scenes where they showed the "movie" kinda made me feel like I wasn't supposed to be looking....but mostly just kinda creepy...
THEN.....
The end scene....when that little girl came out of the well....and outa the TV!!!! :eek: :eek: OMG I was scared to death..all pressed back in my chair....I've never reacted to a scarry movie like that before...
And ...lol....as my Hubby will atest to...as he found this VERY funny....Seven Days later I would be found NO WHERE near a television screen or computer monitor...I went outside.....till it was officially the 8th day..To this minute I can't stand the sound of a snowy TV.......lol...

Go See 28 Days.............

Hiding from quisath and his 28 days......I can't take a whole month!!!!

I love Hitchcock suspence .... (not Birds or Psycho - never seen either of them) .... Vertigo, Rear Window, North by Northwest, Charade .... great movies .. but you have to let the suspence build ... it takes the first half of the movie of storytelling to get there .... but my all time favorite suspence ... I still jump in my chair at a couple of scenes in it .... WAIT UNTIL DARK with A. Hepburn, Richard Crenna and Ephrom Zimbalist Jr.

Once again, fzzy and I are on the same wavelength - "Rear Window" — EEK!

"Amityville" scared the shite out of me, too. I picked up a paperback at a flea market years ago. The book was scary enough.

"Children of the Corn" is deadly scary, too. I think that's Stephen King's work.

"MOTHMAN PROPHECIES" - - A must see! Terrifying! I watched it with a gym rat with huge muscles and he was on the edge of the couch with glassy eyes, afraid to blink.

I still have yet to see "28 Days". The media hype with the faux ending turned me off. Perhaps I should see it.

I read Amityville and have not been able to watch the movie cause the book freaked me out:p Children of the Corn was the first movie I can remember that really scare the begeezus out of me but then again Stephen King is a God.

I am with lots above and The Ring is great, 28 days was a great movie as well..

But as far as scary....J Lo movies....and about anything with Julia Roberts.....*shivers*

Mothman Prophecies was cool.
I forgot all about Amityville. That scared the shit out of me when I was a kid too.

I have yet to see 28 Days, is it really that good?

I grew up on the old B&W classics.In many ways they have never been improved on.Don't like slasher movies,so I rarely watch them. Night of the Living Dead was a good one,I like Hitchcock's movies too.I liked Psyco,but never bothered seeing the remake by dePalma.The Omen trilogy had it's moments that were pretty scary.

The first movie that stayed with me after I saw it was "Candyman". There was enough urban legend woven into the film that for a while, when ever I went into the bathroom I made sure that the light was on, and that I didn't stare into the mirror.

Children of the Corn, Amityville Horror, and the Omen series did that to me too.....there is a touch of realism in each of those that would give me chills even after the viewing......

Pet Cemetary freaked me out. Being a father of three, it just really disturbs me.

I love the movie "The Haunting." Talk about being scared without ever seeing anything.I also love the Hitchcock movies.Rear Window being my favorite.
