What's YOUR Excuse?

What’s your excuse? :jester:

Oh, come on now, don’t tell me you haven’t used an excuse with your significant other or at work or with SOMEONE when you’ve been on the computer checking out Pixies or some other interesting site (of course, there could be no more exciting site!). :hot:

So…tell us an excuse you’ve used. Come on, spill the beans.

Ok, I’ll start it:

[quickly minimizing the window] "Uh, uh, uh…I’m just finishing up an important project on this computer. Be done in a little while.”

" I have like 3 papers I have to write... I swear they are gonna take forever"

IAKaraokeGirl 12-03-2003 08:21 PM

"__________(insert appropriate boss name) has this case he/she really needs _____________ (insert appropriate legal document name) finished, right away."

Works most of the time. ;)

No excuse needed here *L*...a bit hard to try to hide something where your SO sits behind you on his puter *LOL*...

I have nothing to hide from him

IAKaraokeGirl 12-03-2003 08:45 PM

Very true, Sharni. And, as someone whose husband is also here, it would be hard to hide, anyway. All he would have to do is go into the bedroom and pull up "New Posts" or "Smut Games" to find me. Can you imagine me, being here, without posting? :D

Steph 12-04-2003 01:04 PM

No excuses here, either but I will tell him to stop looking at the screen :D

lakritze 12-04-2003 04:43 PM

I keep hearing it from everybody."There is no excuse."

dicksbro 12-04-2003 07:38 PM

My wife knows I love being here at Pixies. No hiding necessary.

LixyChick 12-04-2003 08:09 PM

I don't hide Pixies from hubby.......it'd be ridiculous to try because he is the one who intro'd me! He reads EVERYTHING I type (I tie him down and make him read and read and read.....cause I can go on and on and on......and he pleads and pleads and pleads.....but I just laugh and laugh and laugh)!

Um......so anyway....no excuses needed here.......but sometimes I have to tell him......."Honey...shut your cake hole a minute and let me get this thought across".....to which he replies...."Pfffffffffffft"! LMFAO!

As to hiding anything at work...I'd be great at it if they'd just get me a puter!

oiy vay.......

You Pixies are being to serious today, or I guess it was yesterday you posted. (I'm still catching up)

OK rockintime, I have had to give an excuse from time to time, not so much to hide WHAT I'm doing or WHERE (cause none of us hide anything from our SO's), but rather I need an excuse for the amount of TIME I spend on here....

"I'm trying to find a poem I read ages ago for Jackie cause her dog died. I've narrowed the search, won't be much longer now." ..... I really used that excuse, got me a few more uninterrupted hours on the comp. :D

btw the poem is 'Rainbow Bridge' and is very touching if you know someone who has lost a pet.

It wasn't me! I was dead at the time! I was on the moon...with Steve!

Teddy Bear 12-05-2003 10:43 PM

When you share a comp, as I do, it seems you never have quite enough time to read everything you want to at Pixies. So here's another one that has given me extra time.....

(It helps to have a recipe site ready to click on)
"I'm looking for something really good to make for dinner tomorrow. Either I keep searching or who knows what we'll eat." :)

Of course this works best if you have an SO like mine who loves to eat. And when he ask why no new recipe at dinner the next day, just say: I didn't have enough time, I'll need to look again tonight. ;) :D

Teddy Bear 12-06-2003 12:55 PM

"Oh... I can't log off now... I'm helping --(insert child's name)-- with a school project."

Lilith 12-06-2003 02:24 PM

I'm just helping ______________ , resizing pics:D

BigBear57 12-06-2003 03:37 PM
