Opportunity Lands
 

Sounds like Opportunity has safely landed on Mars and sent back it's first black and white photo about an hour ago.

I heard maybe they think they can revive Spirit. They're by-passing some bad program code. Hope so. Anyone else hear this?

Most recent thig I heard was that they were recieving a weak distress signal from Spirit but had scince recieved 20 minuits of code from it at some recieving station in the southern hemisphere, and were hoping to fix what the problem was.

LATEST WORD ... fresh off Fox News. Scientists think that within a couple/three weeks, Spirit will be back to 100%! Made it sound like a problem with the ROM ... and they're re-programming to use RAM in it's place.

YIPPEE!

Opportunity is doing better than they'd hoped so far.

Just returned from a Boy Scout Winter Camping. Tent camping. In the hills. In the snow. And wind. I can only hope that Spirit or Opportunity doesn’t have to put up with the problems we had.
