the inhability to use this site in public places

As most of you will be able to relate to, im getting pissed off with not be able to visit my fave websites in the university library! Why, I hear you ask................APPARENTLY BECAUSE IT IS INAPPROPRIATE! (I think these people are boring and do not enjoy sex

Pixies helps my day go by and i feel deprived when i cannot access it!

Anyone haveing similar problems

I'm always visiting from work..........but then again if anyone were monitoring to make sure people weren't visiting "naughty" sites on the work PCs..... it would be ME! gotta love this kinda work ;)

<---also visits from work and does not have her own office. Fortunately, I've got pretty good hearing. :D

You know you can set your options to not show the avatar? Then no one else can continuously see things they may deem inappropriate.

I don't view from public, just my living room. I do have to be careful though. Yesterday my son came home from school and I closed out my pixies window only to realize that I had left a photo I had viewed up in the background. Thankfully he only caught a quick glimpse of skin and assumed it was a photo of his baby brother;) btw...it was a photo w/ a toy....hehehehe....I said it was his brother just out of the tub carrying his favorite truck:D

I only visit from home but even then I don't like others to know I'm here. I'm not ashamed I justl like the idea that this is the place that I go and nobody else does.

FussyPucker 03-26-2004 11:09 AM

I don't have AVs showing just incase anyone happens to walk by ;)

I wouldn't dare go onto Pixies at work, or anywhere else in public.

I personally don't find it a problem - in fact I'd be rather worried if public places DID allow me to view web sites such as Pixies.

After all, sex is a private act, so it stands to reason that a sex web site should be private too.

After all, you don't see men reading porno mags in public places such as libraries, do you? Well not around here, you don't, anyway.

One thing I am hearing about here is that with dvd players available in cars now...people are reporting seeing pornos being watched by other drivers and being offended or concerned for their children.

When I moved, I didn't have 'net access so I visited 'net cafes. The first one didn't allow me access to the site so I didn't go back!

I could get Pixies in the last library I accessed the 'net from, though.

Our puters are in our bedroom *LOL*...and i have a Pixies window open 24/7....so i've never had to access from a public site

Can not access this site from work, the filter will not let it throw. Cann't let the little kiddies have free access.

Sharni has the right idea.

That's what I do- Pics aren't visable, av's aren't visable, and sig lines aren't visable. To anyone at all, it looks like any other message board.

Now, if someone were standing right over my shoulder, and reading it, sure, I'd shut it down. But, there are ways around what is, and isn't, appropriate. Heck, even the name isn't bad.
