Phobia's

I am an arachnaphobic and I was wondering if any other Pixies have phobia's. I'm not too keen on heights either.

coulrophobia :clown:

Musketeer, we have something in common. I'm deathly afraid of spiders, can't even move away when one's coming towards me. I'm also terrifed of heights, and detest staircases where you can see between the steps! I won't even stand on a chair to change a lightbulb, lol

I wouldn't say I'm afraid of needles, but I dislike them intensely...enough that it's stopping me from getting the tattoo I'd really love to have :p

And I'm afraid of bees and hornets, but only because I'm allergic, otherwise they wouldn't bug me :D

I hate clowns, yes indeedy.... Also have a disliking to spiders. But mostly the dark... but not like when i turn the light out in the room. I mean in the middle of nowhere, cannot see a thing.... *shivers* anything could be there with you, and you'd never know!!!

My husband suffers from arachnaphobia horribly. And I do mean suffers. Besides all his buddies making fun of him, he gets so embarassed when he has to come ask me to chase a spider out of some room for him. I think it just makes him human.

I suffer from Mottephobia, which is the fear of moths. And then we moved here and every year they migrate through here and start coming out of the smoke detectors and the light switch plates. Pretty gross even for someone who isn't horribly afraid. I had to learn to deal with it a little because I have to get up with the kids if they wake up.

So my husband gets rid of the moths and I chase the spiders in our house! :p

Now that I've conquered Dishabiliophobia (fear of taking off my clothes)... I'm off to tackle Sciophobia (fear of shadows).

Nothing will convince me to hug a clown.

I'm afraid of mimes. They just freak me out. I mean what's with being stuck in a box I can't see? and if they just asked I would gladly help them out.

Snakes. Horribly, heart attack worthy, dealthy afraid of them. I get it from my dad. When I was 5, or maybe only 4 (I know I wasn't in kindergarten yet, but it was summer, so I had either just turned 4 or 5) my dad worked nights, so he was home with us during the day until about supper time.

Well, one day, I'm out in the back yard having a merry time, and my dad was inside fixing us some sandwhiches for lunch. I happen to feel a movement with my toe, and glance down as a garter snake is slithering across my feet. I screamed my little head off, and my dad, in all his only-wearing-whitey-tighty's glory, comes running outside and into the back yard. As soon as I screamed snake, he had me scooped up and in the house with the doors locked quicker than I've ever seen him move.

Now days, I'm terrified of them, and have dreams where I wake up, and just know there must be some exotic posionous snake in bed with me, waiting to slither up the sheets, and bite me before curling up on my chest and giving me a heart attack.

Those are the nights when I litterly toss every last thing off the bed, stand in a corner, and make my hubby search the bed for unwanted creatures. He gets a kick out of it, though.

Honestly, though, if one ever came near me, without an unbreakable berrier, I can very likely see me having a heart attack. I can't breath, I get dizzy, and then have a full blown panic attack if I see one in an aquarium, other than at a zoo.

Now, admittadly, it's not likely that it'll ever happen to me in this nice suburbun neighborhood, but still.

What's even creepier, is that I am utterly fascinated by them. If there's a movie about them, or a documentary, or even a herbavore magazine around, I have to watch, eyes wide open, staring in fascinatination. At the zoo, I never miss the snake house. Sick and wrong, I know. And you know, it's not the big fat long 20 footers that really bug me. It's the really skinny, pencil thin 2 footers that really freak me out, because they're so long, and skinny, and can hide in literally anything. UGH

I am deathly, deathly afraid of needles. To the point where I pass out when I get blood drawn. And it bugs the hell out of me whenever there's a blood drive or something, and I refuse to give blood, because I know that I would turn white as a sheet and pass out... and people always ask why... and when I tell them, it's always the same answer "oh, it's not that bad, it doesn't even hurt." Yeah, ok... :) I've always wanted a tattoo as well, but could never do it.
