Troop Support!!!!
As a 10% disabled vet,I can tell you that knowing that people care helps!
While there are many good websites,I wanted,to make people aware of this one.http://www.woundedwarriorproject.org/ Please don't make this a statement,of wether we should be in Iraq,or not.Whatever way that you feel, we are.Thank You. Irish P.S.It beats the Hell, out of being called a baby-killer,when you are proud of doing what your country asked! |
TY Irish. :)
I will look into it and will suggest it to the Girl Scouts as a community service project. Good seeing ya. :) *hugs* teddy |
Irish......Thank you! I just looked over all the injureds pics and read their stories. My heart goes out to them. Here is a quote from a 19 year old that was injured over there.
"I have no political feelings. I'm just a soldier out there. You know. We're trying to help them live like us so they can be free and not be scared to do anything. Trying to set them free. That's how we looked at it. Sometimes we hated being over there because they just didn't respect what we were doing. We were trying to help them and they didn't want us there at all." yeah we ALL need to let our boys know that we care about them. I think it would be the best Christmas gift you could give! :) |
I say it every day you don't have to support the war or the president , just support the troops, They are trying to support us, doing what they feel called to do they go where they're told.
you know that is much more cohesive in my mind..... |
Thanks, Irish, for sharing that website. You're right. We can always support the brave men and women who put themselves in harms way for freedom's sake.
|
They always have (in past wars...and "conflicts")...and always will have my support!
