Dimebag Darrell... RIP
 

I've enjoyed more than one Pantera concert and just heard this morning that their ex-lead guitar, 'Dimebag' Darrell was shot to death last night while playing with his new band. Click here for details.

He was an incredible player and his death is certainly a tragedy.

This was a pretty big news item here locally today as Darrell is from the area... haven't heard a definite reason as of yet. But many references have been made of the coincidence to the killing of John Lennon 24 years ago to the day... and very close to the minute... ironic!

Sad news...on my mother's b-day and the anniversary of the murder of John Lennon! Just made the day that much worse!

Never was a Pantera fan myself...can't say that I might not have been one, if I'd ever heard any of their music...but I must admit when I got around the tragic nature of the event, my next thought was I've wanted to kill a few guitarists myself while onstage...

Maybe I should have kept a :trout: handy to get them to turn down a little, or end that &%^&*#@ 20-minute solo...
