is there a pharmacologist in the house?
or someone wiser than i? and can you tell me why? why? why? they put cough suppressant and expectorant together in the same bottle? i mean, they're trying to make the phlegm easier to cough up, right, and then...what?...not allow you to cough it up?
|
LOL
The cough suppressant usually isn't strong enough to make you stop coughing entirely :) |
The answer is quite simple, actually. They don't want you to cough up the phlegm.
It's so much sexier to have you trying to hock (sp?) it up. :D |
LMAO! Yeah thats about the jest of it. They want it to build up so instead of a dry hacking cough you actually have something to hack up.
|
:D as you can see...ruminating while on vicks44 makes for some pretty stupid questions...do you think the addition of tylenol sinus and 'tussin into my flu soup may have compounded my...er...confusion lol

*wanders into the thread...sees the word "phlegm"...and makes a mad dash for the door*
LMFAO! You guys are nuts! |
never made sense to me either....I use one or the other but not both
|
yes, but so many cough medicines come with both in them. *shrug*
