Poppy seeds...

I swear the damn things are multiplying on my front teeth....

I love a coated poppy seed bagel but I'll be damned if I can eat one in public without packing a tooth brush.

Are there foods you avoiding eating in public for fear of embarrassment or some sort of mess?

Anything with any sort of sauce because I know it'll drip! I always tend to be wearing a white shirt when it happens too :rolleyes2

More specifically, I avoid soups, spaghetti, stuff like that.

Baked Beans :D

When I'm at a business lunch, I avoid anything that can't be eaten neatly. Other than that...I eat pretty much anything.

Chicken wings...

Broccoli is bad for "teeth leftovers."

I am the worst about dropping things, and it's not like I have anything right there to catch whatever falls. :D When I was pregnant with my first child, though, I craved Eggo waffles. I'd eat four for breakfast everyday. As the pregnancy went along, though, I started having to eat breakfast sans clothing, as it was guaranteed I'd drip syrup *somewhere.* ;)

I decided that I was not going to worry about this issue, I have a tooth burch and tooth paste in my desk at work.

This is similar to foods not to eat on a first date - like crayfish or lobster.

I gave up on eating in public a long time ago....Guaranteed whatever it is...even if you don't think it would make a mess, i'll drop it on my 'shelf' and leave a stain....But mexican food is the worst. I don't need the toothbrush as much as a bib.

Anything with spinach! Even if your s/o or meal partner swears you are clean...it can come creeping back at anytime! It lurks somewhere in your mouth and waits to present itself at all the wrong times!

Which brings me to a question. Is it polite to pick your teeth in public? If not...what the hell are toothpicks for?
