Set me Free. 1 Attachment(s) We went to a controlled release this afternoon of a couple of dozen flatback turtles into the wild. Eggs are rescued from nests, allowed to hatch in safety and released by our Conservation Commission. The release itself is a time of joy for the kids. It was not as miserable as it looked, about 25C just before sunset. |

Oh, Yay! Happy, happy, joy, joy! *dances* Yeah, my favorite part of being a wildlife rehabilitator is releasing the animals back into the wild after they're healthy again. Glad you were participating in this program, OF. |

Did they look like little wind-up toys as they were making their way to the water? That's how it always looks to me when I see the mad dash on the nature shows...it must be a real treat to see it in person. |

So cool... way to go OF! |
