Unpleasant Subject
New Orleans, the Big Easy................. has had much more than it's usual publicity and recognition of the world unique things that come out of her, in the last two years. Aside from the human devastation, sincere emotional reaction and political grist and turmoil that came out of N.O., some hard facts have been set on the table to be looked at by many NOW concerned members of our society at all levels.
Regrettably, much of the interest is much newer than the facts being so passionately sot out.............. And in too many ways, still being maneuvered for self serving passions and purposes. Our engineers and scientists have long been wandering the streets with messages of fact to only be herded into the village idiot corral. Tomorrow knight, in the States, NOVA will repeat the 'Storm That Drowned a City' that first aired on PBS in November 2005. Pay particular attention to the beginning of the program when they mention the 8 day exercise of "hurricane Pam", where 300 local, State and Federal officials took a message back, in July 0f 2004, from Baton Rouge, that nobody wanted to hear about. It is, what I consider, the most objective recap regarding the event. More to MY point was a NOVA presentation from one of it's off-shoot programs, NOVA scienceNOW, that aired in JANURARY 2005, BEFORE Katrina had a name. Click on the 'watch this segment' ................. If we aren't still too busy to listen to our scientists. ;) *end of PantyFanatic's  * :faint: |
PantyFanatic,
To add insult to injury, the current Congress has failed to address the sorely needed fixes/corrections/revisions needed to this country's main flood insurance program. It is administered by FEMA. |

That would mean acceptance that there was some liability. |
