iPod Mini

I have just inherited a 4 GB iPod Mini. I use WinXP. If anyone has any tips and tricks they can share, or traps to avoid, I would love to learn them. :)

Thanks in advance,

John

No Mam, it is a Mini.

jseal,

Find the finest medicine for nervous frustration brought on by i-tunes,

Bribe someone in Apple to simplify their programme, or

Place it on the railway tracks and derive a moment of pure joy as you create a true artform.

one cool thing about the mini is you can replace the internal hard drive with a compact flash card, up to 32GB these days, more capacity AND more battery life.

robertman,

Thank you, I have much to learn about things iPod.

I have yet to fill up the drive with my music, but when I do, greater capacity and longer battery life sounds like an attractive option. :thumb:

I have learned how to sync it with an Outlook calendar, which will be a convenience once I work out the details. There once was a time when applications shippedwith useful User Manuals. ;)

All I know is that #2 son just got a refurb Ipod mini, & it's made him very cranky & hard to get along with (more so than usual for a 16 yr old)...he's complaining about the battery life being less than advertised as well...

I received a "nano" for Christmas, listen to it for hours on end at the beach and while riding my bicycle. I have never completely drained the battery.

I have been told that quickly draining the battery might mean the volume is VERY high, or the screen brightness is set high, both of which are hard on the battery.

I have connected it my friend's Dell (Windows) after she downloaded itunes, and after we set it up, it works fine.

Work easiest with a Mac though. Plug and play, as advertised.

WW,

I didn't receive my xmas copy of the movie.

Is my local postmistress a closet pornifier?

Movie

I wish!!

I am atill waiting too. She says "be patient, movies take a long time to finish"

I was sent some stills to look at though...

It is very odd, seeing myself with long brown hair. The scenes with the "beach boy" is a bit of a turn on, he was sexy. Haven't seen any with me and any of the actresses yet.
