3 to 1!

This is more hockey talk, so skip it if you're not interested in such.

The Wasington Capitals (http://capitals.nhl.com/index.html) beat the Florida Panthers last night 3-1. This grabbed the Southeast Division title from Carolina for the Caps.

At the mid-point of the season, the Caps were 14th place in the league: this makes them the first team since the leage expanded to 30 teams to come back from that far down to win a division title.

Alexander Ovechkin, whom the Caps fans were already calling "Alexander the great" after he won the Calder Trophy in his rookie year (2005-2006) is the first player to lead the league in both goals and points since I forget when; but it puts him in the same group as such notables asn Wayne Gretzky and Bobby Hull. He also set a franchise record of 65 goals for the season, and leds teh league in such obscure statistics as game-winning goals, power play goals and shots on goal. Whomever has him as part of their fantasy hockey team is makign out like a bandit. Ovechkin is the current front-runner for the the league's MVP award (Michel Briere Trophy).

Bruce Boudreau took over the Head Coaching job in November, supopsedly as the "interim" head coach: he did so well immediately, that he got the permanent position just a few weeks later. He's seriously in the running for the Jack Adams award as coach of the year.

The only downside of this? The tickets for the playoff games are anywhere from $37 for the cheap seats to $235 for the VIP-A seats.

Here, only luck gets you tickets.

Hey gg, if Neige and you don't mind if I join this party do you?

Well the easy part is over now, and the playoffs start this week, let's hope that my Red Wings don't pull their usual playoff collapse.

Maybe the Caps and Wings will meet for a 2nd time in the finals.

Go Wings!

Well The Habs clinched the Division title
thanks to the Phillies? (I thought they were so dead in the water)
So I think what you mean 1nut,
is perhaps the Habs will put down the Wings for the Cup

To Win the 25th Cup in 99 years
just in time to March it in for our 100th Year in Hockey for

GreenChef, I think that a Habs-Red Wings final would be wonderful!

Let's get hockey back to it's old-time roots.

I don't care what anyone says, playoff hockey is better than anything in life, including sex!
