What do you do to distract yourself from the need when there is just no appropriate time, place, etc for you to ease the ache? It seems like I am running terribly short on time to myself and my need for that time seems to be growing exponentially. What do you do when you can't do you? :p

I find a way. Period.

Some out of the way quiet place, maybe a stall in the Women's room. If it's night shift I try the break room. If I get desperate, I go out to my car.

I am not a nice person to be around when I feel the need and can't do anything about it.

I distract myself with thoughts about other stuff - my to do list, cleaning chores, etc

I usually fill my mind with random facts. I'm an old movie fan so I run down present actors/actresses versus those of the golden age. I find it a more intellectual parallel to the old "Could Superman kick the Hulk's ass?" school of thought. Anything to occupy the mind helps.

I do one of three things. I go for a ride on my motorcycle, I blast music as loud as possible and read, or I blast music as loud as possible and play World of Warcraft (just to go around and beat the hell out of everything that moves. It's especially satisfying to watch the bunnies and squirrels fall over dead). If anyone disturbs me to the point where I get up, they're usually met with a sword in my hand.

From what I've heard from some of the ladies, riding on a motorcycle usually does the trick .... although it's much less life threatening if they are enjoying on the backseat.

I suffer.

I tend to punish myself with sexual fantasies. Not sure if it's very logical, but there's something delicious about the frenzy I work my mind into.
