Bummed Out
 

I'm so bummed out.....I HATE my job. I'm a teacher in excess for 4 years already so what are the odds of my finding something permanent now. I've had to take today off on a liquid diet because I'm having a colonoscopy tomorrow morning, so I'll be back to work on Thursday......I'm looking for something outside the bd. of ed. but not finding anything there either...

My new guy is the ONLY good thing in my life now, besides my kids of course, and he's resistant to the idea of seeing me more that twice a week.....he's having issues of his own that have to do with the women in his past....I'm the first one he's been with in 2 years.....I understand that he doesn't want to get hurt again but.....................

Look on the bright side, if you hit rock bottom you can only go up from there?

But you can look forward to the colonoscopy!

It sounds like the colonoscopy is paralleling an episode of SAD. New Guy's not helping, too tied up in his own issues to be properly supportive.

Sorry to sound harsh, but I've seen it before. You deserve more.

New Guy has actually been very supportive, but I think you're right about that episode of SAD. I hate the cold and the winter, can't wait for the Spring to get here. Jan. is the hardest month to get through.

PW, sometimes it hard to remember just how wonderful you are. That's why the rest of us are here! You're obviously smart if you can teach kids and actually have them learn. You obviously have a great guy that's just a little hesitant because of past experience and not you. I bet even when your kids hate your guts they love you at least 10x how much they hate you just like all us kids do. Sounds to me like you have it made.
