Is anyone giving odds on the Feds shutting down after COB this evening?

It'll be a mixed bag, some will, some won't.

The less important the job, the more likely they'll take the time.

I suspect at least a short shut-down is likely. Still can't imagine why the Dems went all last year without passing a budget for this year as they're "required" to do. :shrug:

Isn't it amazing that if there is a shut-down, the folks at the bottom of the chain get laid off ... while the people that got us into this (the legislators) continue to get paid for not having done their job. :mad:

Talk about being over paid. I think all our reps are.

5 to 3 they complete the charade, finger pointing and spotlight chasing.


(after all, we are well into the second third of the election campaign and election is really what our government is all about. :shrug: )

we elected these polarizing eeediots and have no one to blame but ourselves. what a cluster fuck. i think they'll shut down 'cause some just refuse to compromise. it's hopeless anyway. even if we cut billions from the budget every year, we still won't be balance til, like, 2040. blek. it makes me ill.
