Thank you all for this thread. All your thoughts and well wishes are very appreciated !!!
And a huge thank you for the delivery i got yesterday...... a teddy bear holding a mini rose bush and a 'Get Well' balloon !!! It couldn't have come at a better time, i needed some cheering up just then. TY!!
I don't tell about my health because i don't want it to be how people see me or think of me. And i definetly don't want pity or any "oh poor you". I am still the same inside as always.
I have had lymphoedema in both legs for apx. 3 years. I was put in hospital because they both became severely infected. I was given 2 different IV antibiodics and sent home with 2 oral antibiodics. The infection is under control but i still have pain and discomfort from the lymphoedema. That will hopefully be under control soon.
Since I'm telling ya stuff, i might as well tell you that i have Parkinson’s disease too. Its managed pretty good with medication but it is still noticable. I have a slight tremor, the Parkinson's stooped-shuffle-walk, loss of balance, etc. I was diagnosed with Parkinson's at age 45. I was told it doesn't shorten your life, just makes it miserable.......... they weren't kidding.
And then there's minor things like high blood pressure, allergies, arthritis, etc. Which after the 2 major things above are no big deal. lol.
So now you know. I'm still me..... still teddy bear..... huggable and squishy.
Thank you all again for the gift and your words of comfort and caring.
*huggggggs and kisses*
