I've never lied to a partner/lover about how many people I've had sex with. I feel that they have the right to know the truth...and if I had a problem telling them, I shouldn't sleep with them. But of course (with one possible exception) I have sex with friends...people who I really liked and respected.

I have lied to friends...mostly with a lower number. It's none of their damn business IMHO. If they have the bad taste to ask, I often tell them what I expect they want to hear.
