I wish we would adopt it! The UK went metric almost my entire life ago, and it is still only half-assed. Legislation was put in place a few years ago to force the metric weights of goods to be displayed more prominently than imperial. What happens now? We buy a 454g jar of jam (so still 1lb, then)
