Three figures prominently in my "superstitious acts".

When I set my alarm, it must be to a time ending in 3.
I tap things a lot. I tap doorjambs as I walk through, I tap my desk a lot and

I tap counters or tables as I pass by...three times.

I knock three times.

I take three breaths before I answer the phone or before I walk out of my office to meet someone.

When I'm making coffee, I tap the scoop three times to make sure it's empty before putting it away.

And I shake it three times before putting it away.
