I've never worn one, I've owned a few and they get carried with me for awhile and then I usually end up misplacing it somewhere ... never to be seen again .... the funny thing is ... even though I've NEVER worn a watch, if someone asks what time it is while I'm in the general vicinity .... I will still glance down at my wrist (left) ... I guess it goes to show how strong some cultural cues can be!
