Over nearly??? OK, Well done to you for losing nearly a stone and a half is, of course, what I meant to write

I have just completed today's walk and sit-ups I very, very nearly gave in For the first time since starting this, I had to stop the treadmill for a few seconds to take a breather, I thought my body was going to explode My legs were walking as fast as they could and I just could not go a step further.

When I got back on, I reduced the speed back down from 4.23 mph to 4.1 mph, as it was last week, and it felt much, much better. I was walking on a steeper incline than last week, and to see that I keep at it and don't quit completely, I will continue on the reduced speed for a couple of weeks, increasing the incline when the program calls for higher intensity. I think that will count as higher intensity... The program talks about intensity in terms of speed but there really is only so fast I can go without flying off the end of the treadmill

rabbit, I am totally baffled by your warming up speed being faster than my brisk walking speed! I think I need to put rockets on my feet or something

I feel like I've let myself down by reducing the speed but it's either that, or quit completely in another day or two as it would just get too much.

I will maybe try to increase the speed slightly in another couple of weeks, but I think it's better to do the walk, albeit at a slightly slower speed, than to not do it at all. Interestingly, reducing the speed for half of the brisk part of the walk made very little difference to calories burned or distance travelled.

I just re-read that ^^^ and know that I've repeated myself several times! My brain hasn't recovered from the traumatic exercise session yet

I am continuing with 300 sit-ups and food is working out great!

Nearly at the end of Week Four, keep going Pixies
