Florida is the warmest, most southerly Yankee state. I went to Santa Rosa Island every summer growing up my families loved to rustic camp out there near all the installations etc, my little brothers and I rode our bikes everywhere and played hide and seek in the Forts and Battery nearby, watching the Blue Angels practice over the beach ( as an aside I found out a coworkers stepson is a pilot in the Blue Angel squadron! )
