I never really knew her, but I'm pretty trusting and so I suspect I'd give her the benefit of the doubt.

Seriously, it's kind of a jumbled thing. I think we control by our actions, words and deeds what happens to us ... but I think our backgrounds and emotions tend to push us in some directions.
