My thoughts wandered back to a brighter time when the hall was filled with wonderfully happy people merrily groping their way from table to table. I can picture them now (thanks in large measure to the wonderful Pixie picture threads).

I find myself pretending that all those marvelous people are again in the hall ... naked ... warm ... carefree ... and filled with life.

"Ladies and Gentlement," I begin to say in a soft voice picturing all the bouncing butts and nodding noggins, "it is such an honor to be here holding this wonderful scroll ... The Crazy Cuffs Award. But this award is not for me, but for all of us. Those who remember the heady days when we looked to achieve the 10,000 member level. When Dr. Seuss rhymes filled the threads. When shyness made each new picture post an awesome event. And, it's for our newer members, who have joined us seeking that joyful union with others of like mind.
