I think business bs must be universal Steph. I've been promised several different jobs or jobs upgrades for around 3 years now. I work "unofficially" in the office as a..... hell I'm not sure what my title would be. I draft drawings for layout changes. Sometimes supervise their installs. I even occasionally work with maintenance carrying out the changes. When that work is slow I'm everything from a gopher to a secretary. So I feel your pain Hon. I knew taking an office job with long hair would probably have that proverbial glass ceiling so I'm not surprised. I keep thinking one day I'll move on but... I keep on keepin' on.
As for gossip, I've laid every female in the place according to the grapevine. I even had a jealous husband call me one night and ask me about his wife saying he'd heard rumors. I told him if the rumors were all true I wouldn't have had time to put on pants the last year! (and then I threatened him severely for waking me up LOL) I just do the best I can and let people think what they will. I like the guy I see in my mirror and most of those who spread gossip are just trying to distract themselves from their own dreary lives. I have to work and the bs is everywhere so I think just ignoring anything that doesn't harm me physically is the way to go. OK soapbox back in the corner.
