I learned most of the "facts of life" from a male cousin 6 years older than I, some from his sister 4 years older than I, and then from a platonic male friend when I was in my teens. He was the one who answered such questions as "how much comes out when a guy comes?" The only thing I learned in school was about menstrual periods, but the more important information about those--that I more than likely would be in for very regular but severe cramps each month and how to try to deal with them and that when you start unexpectedly and get blood on your clothes you use cold water, not hot, to get it out--I learned from my older sister, mom, and a female janitor in junior high school, who helped me when the latter happened to me at school.

The rest I've learned from experience and from reading. I'm a voracious reader and still read everything I can on the subject. For example, I'm always checking to see if anything new has been added to the thread about the perfect BJs here, and I visit sites such as The-Clitoris.com and Human Sexuality.

When it comes to this topic, my kids have been and are being raised VERY differently than I was.
