Yeah ... USB ports can put out about 500 milliamps, enough to drive small motors and such. That is for the internal USB ports on your 'puter.
If you get an external USB port, you can attach devices that require much more power since external USB ports are equipped with their own power supply.
Make sure you shop for a "powered" external USB port.
Now Sprinkles ... having said that, I willingly volunteer to come over and do some software testing with that thing with you. Buzz me up, Scotty.
