you guys are right I never heard and never can find this negative effect that is all.

I play all the time. The one I play is made by wood pretty weavy, and very thick hula hoop. I didn't buy it in Canada. I brought it in Vietnam .but i don't feel pain on my back. may be i am used to it. The more heavy is the more exercise using energy you can have.
