Two hobbies that are considered geeky by the general public.

1. amateur radio.... I do not like to talk on the radio, I like to build the radio bits and pieces (VHF/UHF/SHF for the other radio geeks in the forum)

2. photography... not so geeky, until you understand that while I like to take pictures of many things, the thing I like best is trains... the big ones. I can spend most of a weekend sitting by the side of the tracks waiting for them to come by just so I can snap a picture
